When I die Let me fly Up in the clouds Up in the sky Time is all gone So keep on the run And follow the sun Set me free Let me be Nothing and everything As far as the eye can see I don't understand it thats true But nothing has ever made so much sense to me Just watching those vapour trails reach across the sky Night and day,it's time to play Wake up in yesterday, then we start again It's never cold and you never get old No one will ever take that away from me I don't understand it thats true But nothing has ever made so much sense to me
2.
Life gets in the way of living, living And love gets in the way of giving All the love that you have got to give The cycles and the chaos They go hand in hand If you're looking for the answer Its written in the sand (That crunches beneath your feet See the water washing it away) A glass half empty A horn of plenty A scene of many goings on I've got to come clean About my fading dream I like you, your T-shirt makes me laugh So tell me how it broke your heart in two
3.
With my mind in limbo And my legs akimbo I've got to put it down I've got to make a sound Something deep inside Muddy waters crystal clear Something wants to get out of here Open up breathe some air Try to ride it out, try to ride it out Open up deep inside Jump the valley if its wide Giant sized walk away Leap into another day, into another day Harsh words in the wind Flat calm in the palm of my hand A square deal and three meals There's no need to be unkempt Minds in limbo Leap in to another day, in to another day
4.
Hello, hello, hello, my lonely friend Hello my lonely friend see me through to the end When the sun goes down beneath the ground My lonely friend you're still around for me I know, I know, I know, yes it's time to move on again But nothing it quite the same when you hear that old song again You don't have to tell me what I already know Lets smash another bottle and do it all over again Here's looking at you you're my lonely Here's looking at you till we meet again Now that we're all alone there are so many things to say But words are a waste of time, let the wind blow them all away You don't have to tell me what I already know Lets smash another bottle and do it all over again You know and I know to that the clouds will soon blow away Someday i know my friend that they'll take me away with them As the sun comes up beneath the ground My lonely friend you'll be around for me

Bad day, good night Wrap it up in Black and white. Shut the door and switch it on I think I’ve found my favourite song. In a daze for seven days Thinking ‘bout what people say Make some rules and break them all Build some walls and watch them fall. Watch the walls come down at night When I’m alone and the stars are bright. Crashing waves and ticking clock Hindsight rules forget me not. All you can eat if you suspend belief At a table set for one. You might not feel the same way When you wake up with the sun. Close your eyes and open up Find the word thats not enough. Nothing down so its up to you I’ll lift my game if you tell me the rules. All dressed up and nowhere to go So climb aboard and get below. Pop the cork and find a chair ‘Cause love and war there’s nothing fair.
6.
Tied up at a rate of knots Slowed down by the speed of light One more list call it things to do. Another chapter opens up Now its time to be saving up At your age I think you ought to know. You’ll find a way to chauffeur drive away Don’t come undone and watch it float away Leave an open door and Get high on your own supply Get high on your own supply Get high on your own supply Tomorrow never comes alone Something always tags along I’ll get by the by because of you. On a day when things are still I’ll tap the core a mine the heart of things Keep on stabbing in the dark

I got a way avoiding all the things that are falling But you better be listening when the voices are calling Ooh ooh ooh Why’d you have to take so long Ooh ooh ooh I only want to sing my song I got a natural feeling and I gotta concede it But you better believe it when I tell you I mean it Ooh ooh ooh Wy’d you have to turn me on Ooh ooh ooh You’re only going to get it wrong You’ll be my guiding light, like a face in the crowd So I’ll pin my hopes on a passing cloud No more sitting alone with the dial tone Am I falling apart or is this just a dream I couldn’t get any higher but that don’t mean that I’m flying I see the people below me and they can tell that I’m lying Ooh ooh ooh someone better take me home Ooh ooh ooh ‘cause things are getting close to the bone You’ll be my guiding Light……

Nowhere to run away Nowhere to run and hide You’ve really got it bad You’ve got it deep inside. Somethings are hard to find Somethings are left unsaid Nothing is what it seems Some books are left unread. Tick-tocking, the temperature’s dropping Someone else is in the room The penny’s dropping There’s nothing else stopping You from making up your mind. Something has gone astray You left them all behind You went another way There’s something you had to find. Too much is not enough When you want what you can’t have Everyone fills you up With so much good advice Whats cooking There’s no one else looking How about we take a ride Stop talking There’s nobody listening It doesn’t matter if you lied.
9.
I feel like a country song Lonely as a bar full of people I keep feeling I’ve done something wrong And talk is so feeble So go down, down, down Don’t make a sound, sound, sound Look around, ‘round,’round At what you’ve found, found, found Try your best to stay under ‘Cause yesterday is all over, now……. All those moments and all those dreams All those wishes and crazy schemes They can seem a long way off They can be as strange as other people. Just let it go without a care Thats not the wind flowing through your hair Everything is in slow motion And we’re not coming up for air

Hallelujah 03:10
Hallelujah I’ve just seen the light What’s it to you if it’s just tonight So let the blood of christ flow through me like A fire light beneath the starry sky. I know enough to know that I don’t know The reasons why or what I’m looking for So let the sun come up and paint a light A golden light across the T.V. screen. The days are cold and I can see the light Outside they’re carving out the neighbourhood I’m inclined to let the good fight go And take it off and leave it all behind.

about

This Album is the second release by John Martin and its a move away from electronic music and a return to actual songs. It was made with two microphones and absolutely no knowledge of how to use them. But the burning desire to make music and a little help from friends made it happen.Another one will follow......
